How to use LIFE+
One scoop a day, dosed by your dog's weight. Mix it into a meal. Then keep it consistent.
Scoop
Once a day, dosed by weight. Half a scoop for dogs under 15 lb, one scoop for 15 to 30 lb, two scoops for 30 to 60 lb, three scoops over 60 lb. Each jar holds 60 scoops.
Mix
Mix it into wet food, or into kibble with a spoonful of something wet or oily, like canned food, plain yogurt, or the water from a can of fish. Dry powder sprinkled on dry kibble is the one way dogs walk away from it. Stirred in, the beef liver and bone broth base is savory.
Stay consistent
Give it every day. Offer it for several days before you decide your dog does not like it. A new smell in the bowl can take a few days. The antioxidant and cellular support builds gradually, so a daily habit matters more than any single scoop.
Why consistency matters
The four antioxidants in LIFE+ are dosed to match a long-term canine aging study from the University of Kentucky that followed aging dogs for nearly three years. How much do I give?

Will my dog actually eat it?
Give it a fair try first. Mix the scoop into wet food, or into kibble with a spoonful of canned food, plain yogurt, or the water from a can of fish. Do not sprinkle the dry powder on dry kibble. Offer it for several days, because a new smell in the bowl can take a little time. If your dog still will not eat it after a week of trying, email support@longtails.com and we refund you. No need to send the jar back.
How long until I notice anything?
LIFE+ is not an overnight product. The support it provides builds gradually with daily use, so give it a couple of months and keep it consistent. Every dog is different, and some show clearer changes than others.
Is LIFE+ safe? Can I give it with NAD+ Precursor?
LIFE+ is for dogs only. Do not give it to cats. It contains alpha-lipoic acid, which is toxic to cats at this dose. It is manufactured in the USA. You can give LIFE+ alongside our NAD+ Precursor Collagen; the active ingredients do not overlap, so just follow each product's dosing guide by weight. Check with your veterinarian first if your dog is on medication, or is a breed prone to copper-storage sensitivity such as the Bedlington Terrier, Labrador, Doberman, West Highland White, or Dalmatian.
The probiotic in LIFE+ is Bacillus subtilis DE-CA9, a spore-forming strain studied in a placebo-controlled trial in dogs at the same 1 billion CFU daily dose that is in each scoop. It supports digestive health. The chicory inulin next to it is a prebiotic fiber that supports healthy gut flora.
